(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - DeMarcus Cousins hopes to build on one of his best games as a professional when the Sacramento Kings shoot for a season-high third straight victory tonight in the Big Easy against the New Orleans Hornets. Cousins had his first career 20-20 game, recording 21 points and a career-high 20 rebounds on Saturday when the Kings edged Golden State in overtime, 114-106, at Power Balance Pavilion.
Sacramento, which is just 2-11 as the visitor on the year, will be playing eight of its next 10 games on the road.
New Orleans has now lost 14 of its last 15 contests overall.
"Well, this is the dog days of the NBA right now," said Hornets head coach Monty Williams. "A lot of players are kind of going through the motions and tired and we certainly looked that way tonight. I thought we'd be a bit fresher because I gave them the day off yesterday and maybe that hurt us."
The team could get a boost up front, however, with the possible return of Chris Kaman. After failing to work out a trade for the veteran, the Hornets have brought him back into the fold and he will be eligible to play tonight.
Finally, guard Jarrett Jack, who has missed the last two games with a sore left knee, is questionable for the Hornets.
New Orleans, which is just 2-11 at home on the season, has won five straight and 11 of 12 in the Big Easy against Sacramento.
Amare Stoudemire will miss Monday's game as he is heading to Florida. The team also has games on Wednesday in Washington, Friday at home against the Lakers and Saturday in Minnesota.
(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards meet for the second time in four nights this evening, as the two teams do battle at the Verizon Center this evening. These two bottom feeders met on Friday in Toronto and Leandro Barbosa netted 19 points to lead a balanced offensive attack, as the Raptors rolled to a 106-89 at Air Canada Centre.
The Raptors failed to follow that win up on Sunday, though, and dropped a 95-89 decision to the Miami Heat.
"It just shows that we can compete with anybody," DeRozan added.
